Hi, i’m Beth!
I’m a recent graduate of Flatiron School’s Product Design Program, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
I really like to make things. If something doesn’t work, I like to find out why. Over the course of my experiences in illustration, design, creative education and other areas, I realized I have always been focused on seeking out creative solutions for things that can work better for myself and others, and this pattern showed me that I have always been on the UX/UI path.
Before graduating from Flatiron, I have spent over 15 years in various creative fields. After getting my Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I began my career as a freelance illustrator specializing in hand-rendered drawings and paintings, and from there ventured into other exciting mediums such as murals, printmaking, sewing, and more. No matter the medium, the artistic process is the same: Visualize, Research, Prototype, Test, and Modify. When I am making something I am focused on making it well, so I am always asking for feedback and testing what I have made in order to progress and continue improving. I am so eager to combine all of my experiences and passion into making wonderful products for everyone to experience. I would love to make stuff with you!
Some fun facts about me:
I recently ran my first half marathon, and I play roller derby.
I have 2 cats and I love to read!
I have been re-teaching myself Japanese over the past year.
